WBHRB Recruitment 2025
The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens. The online registration and form submission process will be active on the official website between 17 October 2025 (10:00 AM) and 28 November 2025 (2:00 PM). Candidates will also have access to an edit window from 1 December 2025 to 3 December 2025. Appointments will be made on a temporary basis, likely to be made permanent later on.

Educational Qualification
To apply for the Medical Officer (Specialist) post, candidates must hold an MBBS degree included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with a recognized postgraduate qualification (Degree or Diploma) in the concerned specialty.

Candidates must also be registered as Medical Practitioners in the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council. Selected candidates must register their names with the West Bengal Medical Council within six months of joining.
Age Limit
Applicants must be not more than 40 years old as of 1 January 2025. However, the upper age limit is relaxable by 2 years for well-qualified and experienced candidates. Additionally:
- SC/ST candidates: Relaxation up to 5 years
- OBC-A/B candidates: Relaxation up to 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation up to 5 years
- PWD candidates: Upper age limit up to 45 years
Doctors with regular or contractual experience under the State Government may also get additional relaxation (up to 5 or 3 years respectively).

Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive a Basic Pay of ₹56,100/- per month in Pay Matrix Level-16 as per the WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2019. In addition to the basic salary, other admissible allowances and benefits under government service rules will also be provided.
Application Procedure
The entire application process will be conducted online through the official WBHRB website (www.hrb.wb.gov.in). Candidates must complete online registration, fill in the required details, and upload all relevant documents (in PDF/JPEG format).

The documents should be clear, readable, and properly scanned. Offline or email submissions will not be accepted. After successful submission, candidates should take a printout of the application form for their records. Editing is allowed until final submission.
Application Fee
Candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹210/- through GRIPS (Govt. Receipt Portal System) using a participating bank. No other mode of payment (cash, cheque, draft, etc.) will be accepted.
However, SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and PWD candidates (under Disabilities Rule, 1999) are exempted from payment of fees.

Selection Process
The selection will be conducted through direct recruitment by the WBHRB. The process will assess candidates based on:

- Experience: 10 marks
- Interview: 15 marks
Total: 100 marks
The Board may also hold a Written Examination or Computer-Based Test (CBT) at a later stage if necessary for shortlisting candidates.
