Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university with Hindi and English as elective subjects. In addition, applicants should have at least two years of experience in translation work from English to Hindi and vice versa. Age Limit
The upper age limit for applicants is 30 years as on 1st September 2025. However, there are age relaxations for reserved categories: 5 years for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates, and up to 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
Salary Details
Selected candidates for the post of Hindi Translator Grade-II will receive a basic pay of ₹41,800 per month in the pay scale of ₹41,800 – 1,17,600. The total emoluments will be approximately ₹48,000 per month, along with House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable if the candidate is not residing in Mumbai Port Authority quarters.
