Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for TES 55 must have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized education board.

It is also mandatory to appear in JEE (Mains) 2025 to be eligible. Only unmarried male candidates who fulfill all educational and physical standards can apply for this entry.

Age Limit

The candidate must be between 16½ years and 19½ years of age on the first day of the month in which the course begins (i.e., July 2026).

Training Details

The total training duration is four years and will take place at the following pre-commission training academies (PCTAs):

Phase-I: Basic Military and Engineering Training for three years at Cadet Training Wings – CME Pune, MCTE Mhow, or MCEME Secunderabad.
Phase-II: One year of further training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
After successful completion of four years of training, candidates will be awarded an Engineering Degree and commissioned as Lieutenants.

Salary and Allowances

During training, cadets will receive a stipend of ₹56,100 per month. After commissioning, the salary and allowances will be as per the following pay levels:
