Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has released an official recruitment notification for various contract-based posts under Advertisement No. EN-31/16, dated 1st November 2025. This notification has been published on AVNL’s official websites – www.avnl.co.in and ddpdoo.gov.in.

In this recruitment, AVNL will recruit personnel for 133 posts at its Machine Tool Prototype Factory (MPF), Ambarnath unit. The available positions include Junior Technician, Diploma Technician, and Junior Manager. A total of 130 vacancies are open for Junior Technicians in various trades such as Turner, Machinist, Fitter, Electronic Fitter, Electric Fitter, Millwright, and Examiner. Additionally, there are 2 posts for Diploma Technician and 1 post for Junior Manager, making it a total of 133 posts under this recruitment notification.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for Junior Manager (Contract) must have a First-Class Degree in Environmental Engineering. For Diploma Technician (Tool Design), a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die) is required. Those applying for Junior Technician posts should hold NAC/NTC certificates in the relevant trades such as Turner, Machinist, Fitter, Electrician, Millwright, Electronics Mechanic, or related fields issued by NCVT.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for all the posts is 28 years as of the closing date of application. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories – 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer), 5 years for SC/ST candidates, and proportional relaxation for candidates with relevant work experience (up to a maximum of 7 years). The maximum age with all relaxations shall not exceed 55 years.

Salary Details

The monthly remuneration for each post includes Basic Pay, Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA), Special Allowance, and an additional ₹3,000 for other allowances like medical insurance and conveyance.

• Junior Manager (Contract): ₹47,610/- per month (Basic Pay ₹30,000/-)
• Diploma Technician (Contract): ₹37,201/- per month (Basic Pay ₹23,000/-)
• Junior Technician (Contract): ₹34,227/- per month (Basic Pay ₹21,000/-)

Application Process

Candidates interested in applying for these positions must submit their applications offline. The duly filled and signed application form, along with self-attested copies of educational and experience certificates, must be sent only through Indian Post to the following address –

Application Fee

An application fee of ₹300 is applicable for General category candidates, to be paid through SBI Collect. However, SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM/EWS/Female candidates are exempted from paying the fee. A copy of the payment receipt must be attached with the application form.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted through a Screening process, followed by Written Test and/or Interview/Trade Test. Depending on the number of applications, AVNL may adopt higher eligibility criteria.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their marks in the qualifying examination, and the final merit list will be prepared considering marks obtained in the test/interview. The results will be published on www.avnl.co.in and ddpdoo.gov.in only.
