Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for this apprenticeship must meet the following qualification criteria as per their category:
- Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): Must have a degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a recognized University or Institution authorized by an Act of Parliament.
- Technician Apprentice (Diploma): Must have a Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council, Board of Technical Education, or recognized University.
- Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice: Must have a degree in general streams such as B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com.
- Trade Apprentice (ITI): Must have completed ITI in the relevant trade like Electrician, Lineman, or Plumber.
Candidates must have completed their Graduation/Diploma/ITI course not before 31 March 2024.

Age Limit
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not more than 28 years old as on 1 September 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules.
Stipend Details
Selected candidates will get a fixed monthly stipend during their one-year training period. Graduate apprentices will receive ₹18,000 per month, diploma apprentices will get ₹15,000 per month, and non-engineering graduates like BA, B.Sc, and B.Com will also get ₹15,000 per month. ITI trade apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of around ₹14,877. This amount will be paid every month to help the trainees during their apprenticeship program.

Application Process
Candidates interested in NEEPCO Apprenticeship 2025 must apply online only through the official government apprenticeship portals. No offline or email applications will be accepted. The process differs slightly for each category:
For Graduate, Diploma & Non-Engineering Apprentices:
- Visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal – nats.education.gov.in
- Register online with the Board of Practical Training (BOPT) and get a valid enrollment ID.
- Log in with your registered ID and search for “NEEPCO” under establishments.
- Apply against the relevant Advertisement ID as per your qualification and preferred location.
For ITI Trade Apprentices:
- Visit the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal – apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
- Register as a candidate and create an account.
- Log in and search for NEEPCO (Establishment Code: E02161700001).
- Apply for the desired trade like Electrician, Lineman, or Plumber.
No application fee is required for any category.
Selection Process
The selection process will be based only on the marks obtained in the candidate’s degree, diploma, or ITI course. There will be no written test or interview. Candidates from the state where the power station is located will get first preference. If seats are still vacant, candidates from other North Eastern states will be considered based on their marks. The list of selected candidates will be uploaded on the NEEPCO website, and they will receive call letters through email.
