State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman C.S. Setty recently announced at a press conference that the bank plans to recruit nearly 18000 personnel at clerical and officer levels by the financial year 2026.
The positions to be filled include Clerical Staff (Clerk), Probationary Officer (PO), Local Based Officer (LBO), System Officer/Specialist Officer (SO). As per Official source SBI going to announce a recruitment drive for the financial year 2026. The bank will hire 13500 to 14000 candidates for Clerical Staff positions, 3000 for Probationary Officer and Local-Based Officer positions, and 1600 for System Officer/Specialist Officer positions.
