Qualification Details
- Candidates must hold an MD/MS/DNB or an equivalent postgraduate medical degree in the relevant department.
- For Hospital Administration, candidates with an MD or a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration after MBBS can apply.
- For Transfusion Medicine, candidates must have an MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine or Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion.
- For Emergency Medicine, candidates with an MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Anesthesia, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, or General Surgery can apply.
- For DM/MCh departments, candidates must have the required super-specialty degree.
- For Senior Demonstrator posts (non-medical subjects), a Master’s degree (M.Sc/M.Tech/M.Stat) and a PhD in the concerned subject are required.
Age Relaxation Details
The upper age limit for the Senior Resident post is 45 years, counted on the date the notification is published. Relaxations are allowed for reserved categories as per the Government of India rules. Candidates belonging to SC/ST get 5 years, OBC get 3 years, and PwD candidates get 10 years of relaxation. Age relaxation for other groups will follow DoPT instructions.
Salary Details
The salary for Senior Residents will be paid as per Level 11 of the 7th Pay Commission, which includes a basic pay range of ₹15,600 to ₹39,100 with Grade Pay ₹6,600 (6th CPC). Medical graduates will also receive NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance) along with other allowances such as HRA, DA, and TA as per Central Government rules.
