North Eastern Railway Gorakhpur Career – Railway Recruitment Cell

Educational Qualification:
(i) For Group ‘C’ posts: For technician-III: Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade (Recognised by SCVT/NCVT) and for other posts: 12th or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. The compulsion of 50% marks in aggregate will not be insisted upon in case of SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates possessing qualification higher than 12th or its equivalent.

(ii) For Group ‘D’ posts: Matriculation or its equivalent. (B) Scouting: (a) President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section, (b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organisation for the last 05 years. (c) Should have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railway’s Level and two events at State Level.

Age Limit:
• For Group ‘C’ – 18-30 years.
• For Group ‘D’ – 18-33 years.

Pay Scale:
(a) Group ‘C’ posts in Level-2 (6th CPC Grade Pay Rs. 1900)
(b) Group ‘D’ posts in Level-1 (6th CPC Grade Pay Rs. 1800)

Application Fee:
(i) For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-para (ii) below: Rs. 500/- Refund of Rs. 400 will be made to those candidates who actually appear in the written examination. (ii) For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, Persons With Bench Mark Disabilities (PWBDS), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/- Refund of Rs. 250/- will be made to those candidates who actually appear in the written examination.

Selection Mode:
The candidates, who are found eligible for consideration for recruitment against Scouts & Guides quota shall be assessed on the following basis: (A) Written Examination: 60 marks (B) Marks on certificates: 40 marks.
